BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND EVENT SPECIALIST
Position Title: Business Development & Event Specialist
Location: West Chester, OH
Type: Part-Time (with potential to grow into Full-Time)
About Us:
At Stay, Play, Made Simple, we take the hassle out of travel planning by managing hotel accommodations and providing support for youth sports tournaments, weddings, and corporate events across the country. We partner with event organizers to ensure a smooth, stress-free experience for teams, families, couples, and business travelers. As our company continues to grow, we’re seeking a versatile, driven team member to join us at our West Chester, Ohio office.
Position Summary:
The Business Development & Event Specialist will help expand our client base across sports, weddings, and corporate markets while supporting event execution and building our brand through targeted marketing efforts. This in-office, part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of a team that’s passionate about creating seamless travel experiences. This role offers the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and company needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities in youth sports, weddings, and corporate/group travel
- Conduct outreach (email, phone, in-person) to prospective clients and event organizers
- Build and maintain relationships with tournament directors, wedding planners, venues, and corporate clients
- Prepare customized proposals and presentations tailored to each market segment
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, wedding shows and client meetings (travel and occasional weekends required)
Event Support
- Assist with hotel block creation, client communication, and booking link management
- Support logistics for events ranging from youth tournaments to wedding room blocks and company meetings
- Help manage data entry, reporting, and customer service follow-up
- Occasionally provide weekend or on-site support for events as needed
Marketing & Brand Building
- Collaborate on digital marketing efforts, including social media, newsletters, and email campaigns
- Highlight client success stories across sports, wedding, and corporate segments
- Maintain consistency in brand messaging across platforms and materials
- Help track engagement and make recommendations to improve outreach and visibility
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or event/hospitality services
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence in making outreach calls and building new relationships
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with the sports, wedding, or corporate events industries is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with marketing and CRM platforms a bonus
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client visits, networking, trade shows or event support
- Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering great service
